The GMAT is a 3.5-hour test, inclusive of breaks and test guidelines. It is a computer-adaptive examination that assesses four individually timed sections, namely analytical writing assessment, integrated reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and verbal reasoning, for admission to postgraduate management courses like MBA and Masters in Finance.

Total GMAT Scores range from 200 to 800. The verbal reasoning score range is 6-51 and has 36 questions, the quantitative reasoning score range is 6-51 and has 31 questions, the integrated reasoning score range is 1-8 and has 12 questions and finally the score range is analytical writing assessment 0-6 and has only one question. Scores are good for five years.
Commonly required score
A good GMAT score is between 700 and 740 and a score of 740+ is an excellent score. The top business schools in United States accept a score range of 634-734, while Europe score range is 638-709, top MBA programs in Canada accept score range of 520-780 and Australia score range is 600-695.
